The order of Uttar Pradesh News Desk Allahabad High Court shocked the OBC contenders of the mayor in Meerut. On December 5, when the preliminary notice of the mayor’s discussion was issued chairman of the government, the expectations of the OBC contenders increased. Overnight there was a long part of the contenders in many parties, including BJP, SP, RLD. Meanwhile, when the case was considered in the Supreme Court, all the contenders became restless. When the order arrived, the OBC claimants received a setback. There were about two months speculated on the position of mayor in MeerUT. On December 5, the government issued the preliminary notice of the discussion of Mayor, chairman posts, while the mayor’s post was reserved for OBC in LakeT. Earlier in 2012, the position of Mayor for OBC and in 2007 was reserved for OBC women. In MeerUT, the mayor has been formed four times since the establishment of municipal corporation from the OBC category. OBC has become the mayor of OBC twice with the discussion of OBCs. If OBC discussion was there, it would have been the mayor of this class for the fifth time. The government made the situation clear, after the Supreme Court order, made Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath clear the situation. He said the government would go to the Supreme Court against the order of the Supreme Court. Municipal elections are held with OBC discussion.
