Security forces have started search operation in the area looking for Maoists. This incident shows the seriousness of the Maoist threat. Jagran correspondent, Chaibasa. CRPF 60th Battalion soldiers were seriously injured in the Heied explosion that took place in the dense forest of Saranda on Friday. On August 8, 2025, two soldiers of the 209th Cobra battalion of CRPF, Ram Pravesh Singh and Chhotu Kashyap were injured in an ENied explosion. On March 22, 2025, the CRPF sub-inspector Sunil Kumar Mandal and the main constable Partha Pratim were injured in a deca each explosion, with Mandal later dying in hospital. On April 12, 2025, a Jharkhand Jaguar constable also died in another explosion, while another soldier was injured. Apart from the safety of animals and human lives, the environment and wildlife were also severely affected. Recently, three elephants were hit by an ENied explosion in Saranda area. Two of them are dead, while the condition of one remains critical. These incidents highlight the difficult geographical and naxal affected conditions of this region. Senior officials reached the place and taking into account the seriousness of the case, the investigation began. Security forces are constantly conducting operations to control Maoist activities in the Saranda Bos area, to ensure the safety of residents and wildlife.
