Jakarta – The Business Competition -Supervisory Commission (KPPU) has a partnership with the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). This collaboration aims to strengthen the oversight of business competition in Indonesia through the development of research, policy and entrepreneurial education based on the principle of healthy competition. This collaboration began with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (sleeve) between the KPPU chairman M. Fanshurullah ASA and the ITB rector, prof. Tata Cipta Dirgantara, on the ITB campus, Tuesday (4/6). This collaboration includes assistance in the development of innovation and entrepreneurship, public education and the implementation of higher education tridarma: education, research and community service. “Many violations of the business competition do not occur as a result of intentional, but due to the lack of understanding of regulations. Education is the most important key in prevention efforts,” Fanshurullah said in a written statement on Friday (6/6/2025). According to him, the digital market that is very dependent on technology requires a profound understanding of the principles of fair and sustainable competition. Meanwhile, Tata Cipta supports the support of this partnership as part of the ITB’s commitment to the realization of education that is relevant to the needs of the times against the 4th generation university. “This collaboration will be reinforced by coordination with different units in ITB, such as electrical and information engineering schools and business and management schools, to design learning programs that integrate business ethics and competition regulations,” Tata Cipta said. This collaboration is expected to create a more fair, healthier and more competitive business ecosystem. More than that, this collaboration is also expected to be part of a long time effort to form a professional generation and business that is not only technically better but also maintain ethics and compliance with regulations.
