Today, the 87th anniversary of the birth of the late artist George Sedham, who was born on May 28, 1938 in Sohag Governorate.
George Sidhom is considered one of the pillars of comedy in Egypt and the Arab world, where during his artistic career he presented many successful works that left an unforgettable imprint in the audience’s memory, where he is famous for his cinematic roles and distinctive sketches within the “Trio of the Theater” group, which formed a milestone in the history of Egyptian comedy.
The beginning of artistic talent
George Sidhom’s talent began to act since the secondary stage, where the head of the acting group was in his school, and his ability to imitate many personalities emerged, and despite obtaining a Bachelor of Agriculture from Ain Shams University in 1961, his passion for art prompted him to engage in the world of acting, where he began his artistic career on television with the artists of the guest Ahmed and Samir Ghanem through the paragraph of “Al -Shahatin” People ”, and their master was distinguished by his unique comedian’s sense of millions through his various works.
George Sidhom and a trio of theater lights

George, their master, refused to marry for many years, and he said about the marriage that it was a failed social system, until his wife met the pharmaceutical doctor, Linda Makram, who is fifty years old, and decided to link with her and marry her.

In spite of his great technical successes, George Sidhom was exposed to a difficult period after he was paralyzed that affected his speech center, which forced him to stop the artwork for a long time, this injury greatly affected his personal and professional life, but he remained a symbol of joy and laughter in the hearts of his fans, and he had a strong friendship with the late Samir Ghanem, who was keen to support and happy, until their master appeared in a declaration Samir is his appearance that was carrying a purely humanitarian goal to bring pleasure to the hearts of the audience.

Despite the painful image in which George appeared on the wheelchair, which sparked the audience’s sympathy, the true story behind his healthy condition was more complicated and pain, as he was betrayed by his brother who was running his financial affairs, so he sold all his property and fled outside Egypt.
This event left a profound psychological and physical impact on George, where he had a stroke that led to hemorphes and loss of the ability to speak normally, which led him to forced retirement and move away from the lights.
George Master continued to live on his wheelchair, surrounded by the love of his family and friends, until he left our world in 2020.
