Patna, September 25 (IANS). The violent protests in Ladakh Wednesday and arson at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) office have heated the country’s politics. Hungry rhetoric began between the decision and the opposition regarding this incident. The BJP blamed opposition parties for this violence, while Congress targeted the central government and called it a non-political demonstration. Congress MP Syed Nase Hussain responded to the BJP’s allegations, saying that the demonstration was non-politically and that the people of Ladakh went to the streets with their legal demands. He said: “The people of Ladakh are demanding special rights under the status of the full state and the sixth schedule of the Constitution. They fight for equality and their rights. We do not support the violence, but the central government must take responsibility for this and talk to the locals and find a solution to the issue.” Hussain also questions the policy of the central government. He said that the anger of youth in the country is increasing and that the situation is worrying. He rejected the possibility of situation like Nepal and said: “It is not wrong to protest in a democratic way, but the central government must focus on the serious situation of the country.” He named the promise of the center of ‘2 crore work’ as an empty Jumla and said that unemployment is increasing, the number of people living under the poverty boundary is increasing, economic activities are brought to a standstill, and there is a decline in agricultural production and exports. The MP of Congress demanded the central government to seriously consider these issues and take affirmative steps. He said: “It’s not right to ignore Ladakh’s demands. This issue of Ladakh can become a major challenge for the central government. If it is not resolved over time, it can also promote dissatisfaction in other areas. The center must communicate with the people there. -Ians Akks/GKT Share these Story Tags
