New -Delhi, April 5 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi met members of the Sri Lankan cricket team, who won the World Cup in 1996 during his Sri Lanka tour. PM Modi shared the photos on social platform X and informed about this meeting. Premier Modi wrote on social media platform X, “Cricket Connect! It was very happy to talk to members of the 1996 Sri Lankan cricket team, who won the World Cup that year. This team received the attention of countless sports fans!” Former Sri Lankan cricketer Sanat Jayasuriya also shared photos of the meeting with the cricket team in the photo X.
