Jakarta – A principal in Prabumulih City, South Sumatra, is allegedly removed for the reprimand of the son of the mayor of Prabumulih, Arlan. This case was widely discussed until the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) eventually gave written sanctions to Arlan. The head of the Prabumulih City Education Office, A. Meanwhile, Roni said he was indeed transferred to a reprimand of Arlan. In the end, I accepted that the issue was spreading, I got a reprimand and I had to be replaced by a new principal or acting,” Roni said. He also said that he has now returned to become the head of Prabumulih 1 Middle School. “From yesterday, the mayor was in contact with my home and embraced me again. Alhamdulillah I said that this problem is God willing,” Roni said. “With a feeling of emotion, I was returned to the original position on September 17,” he said. The Ministry of Home Affairs gave a written warning inspectorate general (ITJEN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Arlan investigated relating to the removal of the principal. The results of the investigation said that Arlan’s actions were not in line with the rules. “The results of the investigation, mutation or transfer of the position of Brother Roni Ardiansyah, principal of SMPN 1 Prabumulih, did not comply with the provisions of Article 28 Permendikdasmen number 7 of 2025 regarding the command of teachers as principals,” the inspector -general of the Ministry of the Home Affairs said. He explained that the dismissal of the principal must be conducted by the KSP-SPK SIM application (principal management information system, schoolkeeper and teaching staff). As the procedure was not fulfilled, the Interior Ministry suggested that Tito Karnavian, Minister of Home Affairs, imposes a written warning to Arlan. “This is the first event. We as APIP gave a full report to the minister, as well as a recommendation of the sanction. We recommend that you have given a written warning,” he explained. He added, sanctions were gradually given. Arlan will get a more serious sanction if he repeats actions. “From a written warning. If you repeat again, the second written warning is.
