The fire broke out in a bogie and caused panic among the passengers. It is suspected that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. However, there is no news of much damage or casualties. The fire was brought under control. Satyam Kumar, 15-year-old son of Shatrughan Paswan, resident of Dumri village Supaul, got burnt due to the fire. The station master informed the control and other railway officials. On hearing the commotion, local railway workers and people came and put out the fire. As soon as information about the incident was received, Railway Protection Force personnel, who happened to be traveling in the same train, RPF ASI Sunil Kumar and other armed forces reached the spot and started dousing the fire. The fire was brought under control only with the efforts of RPF and people. After this incident, the train stopped there for about an hour. After this, when the situation became normal, the train was sent to Saharsa. Janseva Express train reached Saharsa about four hours late. The clear cause of the fire is not yet known. There was no loss of life or property in this incident. Three-four seats of the bogie were burnt. Railway officials are investigating the cause of the fire. There was a huge crowd of passengers in the government train due to Chhath festival. However, no passenger was injured due to the fire incident.
