Bhubaneswar, October 3 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha -LP Sujit Kumar strongly condemned the recent statement of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut and called it ‘foolish and unfortunately’. Sujit Kumar responded sharply to Sanjay Raut’s remarks, saying that such irresponsible remarks have no place in democratic political discourse. He described such statements as a symbol of the despair of the opposition and advised to focus on creative politics. Sujit Kumar said: “Sanjay Raut’s statement is not only foolish, but it is below the level of a senior leader. The public always responded to such statements. Democracy needs a healthy and factual debate, not such irresponsible remarks.” He said that this kind of rhetoric drops the level of political discourse and that the wrong message is sent to the public. Since independence, India has reached unprecedented progress in each region. I urge the opposition to come up with creative suggestions rather than derogatory and unfair remarks. Sujit Kumar said: “Such statements are condemnable and this only reflects the frustration of the opposition. If the opposition must contribute to the progress of the country, it must focus on positive and creative politics. The people of India never accept such negative politics and it votes in favor of development and progress.” Sujit Kumar said that BJP welcomes creative criticism, but that personal or derogatory remarks will not be tolerated. I urge all political parties to unite and work in a positive direction in the interests of the country. -Ians Aks/ABM shares this story Tags
