So there are no obstacles in that case,” he said. Lechumanan also said he had submitted a request to postpone the execution of his client to the South Jakarta district prosecutor’s office. He reiterated that Silfester’s case had expired. “So we have communicated, which means our communication is asked to execute, because this case has expired. So don’t force it. If it is forced, we will submit legal action against the South Jakarta prosecutor’s office,” Lechumanan said. When asked why Silfester had disappeared from the public, Lechumanan admitted that he did not know for sure. He suspected it was chosen because of inner pressure. “When it comes to the disappearance of the public, I didn’t ask the person in question. Why they disappeared, but maybe there is a burden, yes. Maybe there is an internal understanding of us. If we are advocates, we only give legal views. Meanwhile, the person who experiences the problem, maybe yes, in my opinion he has a different view.” For your information, Silfester was caught in a case of alleged slander while giving a speech. He was reported in 2017 by Jusuf Kalla’s son, Solihin Kalla. Silfester was then sentenced to 1 year imprisonment for a statement stating that JK used the Sara issue to win the Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno pair in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Pilkada. The Supreme Court later increased the sentence to 1.5 years in prison. However, Silfester was not performed on the verdict.
