A teenager who went fishing on Wednesday died due to drowning in deep water at Siswa Ghat under Siswa Vasantpur Panchayat of the police station area. It is said that Mohammad Mian (15), son of Magistrate Mian, went to Siswa Ghat from Sikarhana river for fishing. At this time he drowned because he went into deep water. The children informed their next of kin about this. Thereafter, the next of kin informed the Chautarwa police station in charge about the incident. SDRF team reached the spot along with SI Kafil Azhar of Chautarwa police station. After much effort, the body was pulled from the water. Where after the completion of the paperwork, the body was sent to the Sub-Divisional Hospital Bagaha for post-mortem. On the other hand, once the news of the death spread, there was chaos in Mohammad Mian’s house. Jhunjhun Jaiswal, chief representative of Siswa Vasantpur Panchayat, said that government assistance would soon be provided to the family of the deceased. As the condition did not improve after 24 hours of treatment, he was referred to GMCH Bettiah for better treatment. Dr. Vinay Kumar said that the snake bit the victim’s leg. As the condition did not improve after treatment, he was referred to Bettiah. The relative said that he was walking near the door when the snake bit him. The situation remains serious.
