Jakarta – Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), emphasizes the central role of the principal and teacher in shaping the character of children in people’s schools. According to Gus Ipul, the principal plays a central role as the highest leader in schools. He asked the principal to prepare a cleaning soup with standards such as a five -star building. “I’m starting from the toilet first. I’m sure the toilet is clean, the others are clean,” he explained. At the event, Gus Ipul also unveiled a major meeting plan with President Prabowo Subianto. “Hopefully all principals and school teachers in Indonesia, more than 2400 people, can get direct debriefing of the president on August 22,” he said. He also emphasized that people’s schools are a tangible form of presidential confirmation policy for children from poor families, with the aim of breaking the chain of poverty through quality education. Until August 2025, 100 People’s School points work, and in September points will increase. Thus, a total of 165 people’s school points are targeted to run this year with a capacity of 641 study groups, which accommodates 15,895 students, supported by 2.407 teachers and 4.442 educators.
