Jakarta – Two runners Pujo Buntoro (55) and Sigit Joko Purnomo (45) from Karanganyar have died. The two runners died while participating in the Siksorogo Lawu Ultra running race. Reported by detikJateng, Sunday (7/2/2025), the Board of Trustees of Siksorogo Lawu Ultra 2025, Tony Harmoko, said the two runners died of heart attacks. He said the two runners had heart attacks in different places. “Yes, it’s okay, two people died of heart attacks. Mr. Pujo this morning at 10.11 WIB at kilometer 8,” Tony said when asked. SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT Meanwhile, Sigit Joko Purnomo died of a heart attack at kilometer 12. Tony said Sigit had a heart attack when he came down from Mitis Hill. “The one was Mr. Sigit Joko Purnomoturun from Bukit Mitis km 12. All had a heart attack,” he said. Furthermore, he said that both of them were taken to the Karanganyar Regional Hospital. Pujo and Sigit are known to residents of Karanganyar. According to the official website siksorogo.id, the Siksorogo Lawu Ultra running race is the pinnacle of trail running competitions open internationally.
