Prabowo listened directly to the refugees’ complaints. He also seemed to encourage the children at the place. Prabowo guaranteed that the government would continue to work to provide aid. The government has also allocated a budget to build new housing for affected residents. “Indeed, the situation is indeed difficult, nature is in our midst, we must be alert. But believe me that the government will work very hard, will do everything in its power to help ladies and gentlemen here,” Prabowo said at the refugee command post for SMP 2 Wih Pesam, Bener Meriah, Aceh, Friday (12/12). Prabowo drew up plans to rebuild broken bridges and roads blocked by landslides. Prabowo asked the refugees to be patient. “We have prepared plans for all the bridges, we will repair all the landslides, we will turn on all the electricity, and if there are still deficiencies, we will work together to solve them,” he said. “We have deployed dozens of helicopters, dozens of planes, yes, we will overcome this together. And we have also prepared a plan to replace all the houses that were swept away. But of course we need patience from ladies and gentlemen, because we cannot finish everything at once, OK,” Prabowo continued. However, Prabowo asked residents to be patient. All recovery plans will be implemented immediately. “I am sorry that the President of the Republic of Indonesia does not have the stick of Prophet Musa, he does not have one. But we will work hard to help you all,” he said. Prabowo also apologized to the refugees if the handling was still insufficient.
