East Luwu – A farmer named Nurdin (57) was attacked by a python while riding his motorcycle in East Luwu Regency (Lutim), South Sulawesi (Sulsel). The victim fell from the motorcycle and was wrapped around the piton until he died. “The victim was coming home from his pepper plantation and was driving with his wife, and on the way the victim passed a road that was quite overgrown and full of bushes,” said Head of Public Relations of the East Luwu Police, Bripka Andi Muh Taufik, as reported by detikSulsel, on Monday (1/12/2025). Taufik said the victim was unaware of the presence of the python at the location. The snake then bit the victim’s leg until they both fell off the motorcycle. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT “Suddenly a snake bit the victim’s leg so that the victim fell off the motorcycle with his wife and then the victim was crushed by his motorcycle and then the snake wrapped around the victim’s stomach,” he explained. The victim’s wife sought help from local residents, but unfortunately the victim’s life could not be saved. The residents then cut down the snake to release its coils around the victim’s body.
