Kolkata, November 26 (IANS). West Bengal Governor Anand Bose has given a clear message to the administration about the protests by BLOs (Booth Level Officers) in the state regarding the increasing workload. He said these are problems that the administration needs to pay serious attention to. If any shortcomings are found at the administrative level, he will not hesitate to intervene as Governor. Governor Bose said that he recently visited the India-Bangladesh border areas and interacted with BSF officials and local residents. He said the situation on the border is currently completely under control and he has not received any information about any problem. He said that CAAs are the most important link in the electoral system. From preparing polling stations to updating voter list, their role is important at every stage. In such a situation, if they are worried about the workload, then it is the responsibility of the government and administration to provide them with proper support and facilities. When the governor was asked questions about the India-Bangladesh border area, he said that this matter was completely under the jurisdiction of the Election Commission. He expressed confidence that the Election Commission is a strong and balanced institution, which has the ability to handle any situation in an effective and impartial manner. The Governor said that the Election Commission has always proved its efficiency even in complex situations and this time too it will face all the challenges successfully. He expressed the hope that the Commission will put all the arrangements in place in time and ensure that the elections are conducted peacefully and transparently.
