Jakarta – Pasar Anyar, Central Bogor, fire. Dozens of merchant stalls were burnt down. “That’s right, there was a fire at Pasar Anyar. We got the report at 06:00 WIB. It happened that there was traffic, I went to the place and helped with security,” Central Bogor Police Chief Kompol Waluyo said Thursday (4/12/2025) when asked for confirmation. SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT Chief of the Fire Department, Agung Prihanto, said that 11 fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. He said 20 hawker stalls burned down in blocks C and D of Pasar Anyar. “Approximately 20 kiosks have been burnt, but they need to be counted again and confirmed because currently they are still being handled,” Agung said at the scene. At that time the fire was extinguished. The fire was extinguished around 09.15 WIB. “Currently at 09.15 WIB, the fire is still cooling down. 11 units of firefighters have been deployed. The details are eight from the Bogor City Fire Department and three from Bogor Regency, so thank you to our district fire department staff colleagues,” he added. Firefighters are still on the scene to ensure that there are no hot spots at the Pasar Anyar fire site. Meanwhile, the police and the Kita Bogor Transport Agency were also at the location to provide security and regulate traffic at the location. (sol/whn)
