In Ahmedabad, the Municipal Corporation took major steps on Saturday and razed many houses and shops in Motera area. This action was taken so that the new road to be built near Sardar Patel Sports Enclave could get space. Recently, Ahmedabad was awarded the hosting rights of 2030 Commonwealth Games, after which the preparations intensified. Remove Advertisement Only Read News 30 structures demolished in Motera area. The estate department team of the West Zone of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) demolished a total of 30 residential and commercial structures with the help of heavy machines. Police security was also deployed during the action so that there was no protest of any kind. Officials said that all these structures create hurdles in road construction. Connectivity will be better. Deputy TDO Western Zone Mahesh Tabiyar said that after it is removed, a new road can be constructed near Narendra Modi Stadium. This will make it easier to reach Sardar Patel Sports Enclave. This enclave will be a large multi-venue sports complex, which is being prepared for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
