Jakarta – The government has prepared rehabilitation and reconstruction after the emergency response phase for the disaster in Sumatra. The rehabilitation period is aimed to be completed within 100 days. “The management phase for the rehabilitation and reconstruction phase has also been coordinated. The lead agency for the current emergency response phase remains BNPB, the rehabilitation and reconstruction phase has begun to be prepared. The target is within 100 days and within one year the public can monitor the achievements in a measurable way,” said Pratikno, Wednesday during a press conference at Halim Per Basdana, Jakarta, Jakarta. Not only the distribution of aid, but also the rebuilding of the lives of residents affected by disasters. “The government’s focus is not only on the distribution of logistical aid such as rice and instant noodles, but to ensure that all citizens have hope to rebuild their lives,” he said. Furthermore, Pratikno apologized if the handling of disasters still has shortcomings. According to President Prabowo Subianto’s instructions, the government will do everything possible to deal with disasters. “We also apologize if there are still shortcomings in efforts to deal with floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra,” he said. “But the instructions of the President are very clear, we must mobilize all resources of the central government, all ministries, institutions, TNI, Polri, BNPB so that every hour every minute there is improvement in acceleration and increased response to community needs,” he continued.
