New Delhi, November 29 (IANS). Gangster Anmol Bishnoi demanded security citing threat to his life. He sought protection from the NIA court, citing threat to his life. Anmol filed an application in the court saying that there is a huge threat to his life from Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti. In a video that appeared on social media, Anmol and his family were openly threatened with death. On behalf of Anmol, it was said that this is not the first time that this gangster has given such a threat. In March 2025, a grenade attack also took place on the house of a YouTuber in Jalandhar following video threats from the same gangster. The gangster who made the threat also took responsibility for that attack, so this threat is not considered a joke, but real and serious. Anmol Bishnoi is currently in the custody of NIA and has demanded from the court that whenever he is brought for appearance, he should be brought in a bulletproof vehicle and given a bulletproof vest. Along with this, full security and threat assessment should be done. Anmol’s lawyer also filed a written complaint with the Delhi Police Commissioner. Anmol told the court that his family and the lawyers representing him also face constant fear and stress. On November 19, Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother and close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was arrested as soon as he reached India on deportation from America. Anmol was absconding since 2022 and was included in the ‘most wanted’ list of NIA. A reward of Rs 10 lakh has been declared on this. He is the 19th defendant to be linked to Lawrence’s terror syndicate. NIA spokesperson said Anmol was detained as soon as he landed at Delhi airport from Louisiana. On November 18, the US Department of Homeland Security confirmed the deportation by sending an email to Zeeshan Siddiqui, the complainant in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. –IANS AMT/DKP Share this story Tags
