Within an hour of the fire, the Luthra brothers booked plane tickets to Thailand and took off on an Indigo flight to Phuket, Thailand on Saturday morning. At the request of the Indian government, Interpol issued a Blue Corner Notice in this regard on December 9. Goa Police requested Interpol through CBI to issue this notice. Pursuant to the same, he was detained by the Thai authorities. The process to deport them has begun. At the same time CBI also got ready, preparations were completed. He will be brought to India soon after the formalities applicable under the extradition treaty between India and Thailand are completed. The extradition treaty between India and Thailand has been in force since 2013. The treaty provides a solid legal framework for the extradition of fugitive criminals. Goa police said the two brothers were charged with murder, culpable homicide and causing injury by negligently organizing a fire show without fire safety equipment. As soon as the news of the Luthra brothers’ detention became known, photographs of them and their passports started doing the rounds on the internet media. Why did the Luthra brothers run away? North Goa MP and Minister of State for Renewable Energy Shripad Naik told reporters outside Parliament House in New Delhi that both had been arrested. He also expressed his surprise that he escaped after such a great tragedy. Co-owner Ajay Gupta to seven-day police custody On the other hand, a court in Goa nightclub co-owner Ajay Gupta has sent to seven-day police custody. Gupta was arrested from Delhi on Wednesday after a lookout circular was issued against him. He was brought to Goa from Delhi itself on Wednesday evening. Goa Police has already arrested five managers and employees of Arpora Night Club.
