You know, there was an amnesty before, right? Well, I don’t agree with that,” Johan Budi said in a Total Politics discussion event with the theme ‘Turmoil Ahead of 2026: The Political Impact of Menbofeengal’s at LegASA, Jakarta, Jakarta’. He said that Hasto is currently no longer the secretary general, namely PDIP. “Amnesty is the secretary general of your party, you know?” said the conversation moderator. “I used to, sir, but not now,” said Johan. “That the amnesty was carried out yesterday in a corruption case, not a political case, which I highlighted and which I disagree with was to provide amnesty for political reconciliation, but that is the case, sir, a corruption case, also a case of corruption,” he continued. Johan said that the abolition and rehabilitation that President Prabowo gave to Tom Lembong and Ira was based on justice. According to him, it is very important to restore that sense of justice. “Pak Prabowo’s steps, especially rehabilitation and abolition, are in order to restore a sense of justice, and this is very important in my opinion, because law enforcement must of course be tough, but there must be a sense of justice. For whom? Of course not for the oligarchy, but for the people of the whole of Indonesia,” he added. (mib/fas)
