Jakarta – Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni said that his party is focusing on completing flood and landslide disaster management in Sumatra. Nevertheless, Raja Juli assured that the Ministry of Forestry was open to all forms of criticism and input from the public. This was conveyed by Raja Juli after reviewing the conditions of the landslide disaster in Agam Regency, West Sumatra. Also present at the location were West Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Gatot Tri Suryanta and Riau Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Herry Heryawan. “We would like to express our deepest condolences for the disaster that we are facing together today. Of course, together with the West Sumatra, Riau and TNI Regional Police Chief, I evacuated two bodies. Two victims died and I think these days is still our main focus in carrying out emergency response,” said Raja Juli in Agam Regency,1230, West Sumatra, Sunday. Raja Juli stressed that his party will focus on dealing with victims first and will be open to criticism in the future. “Yes, I, we, we will refocus on solving the problems we’re currently facing after the emergency response period is over. Of course, I’m very open to evaluation, criticism, whatever,” Raja Juli said. It is known that the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has provided an update on the victims who died as a result of natural disasters such as floods and landslides that hit Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and West Sumatra (Sumbar). The death toll in North Sumatra reached 172 people, Aceh 54 people and West Sumatra 90 people.
