Ministry of Social Affairs sends disaster aid of IDR 19 billion to residents of Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra

Jakarta – The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has again distributed disaster relief to the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and West Sumatra (Sumbar) with a total value of IDR 19,099,409,350. Delivery of aid was carried out by the Ministry of Social warehouses, centers and local social services as a step to speed up distribution in affected areas. “We continue to send aid as needed, we also continue to try so that aid can reach the place quickly,” Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul, said in a written statement on Sunday (30/11/2025). Update on the Ministry of Social Assistance As of today (30/11/2025), at 17:00 WIB, the Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed assistance in the form of buffer stock logistics and public kitchen materials worth IDR 19 billion to three provinces affected by the disaster, namely Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT In Aceh, aid worth IDR 3.14 billion was distributed in the form of 3,450 packets of ready-to-eat food, 1,440 packets of baby food, 400 packets of side foods, 570 mattresses, 3,450 blankets, 8,450 blankets for children and blankets 220 adult clothes. Tent deliveries were also made, including 350 roll-up tents, 30 portable family tents and 30 multi-purpose tents. This assistance reaches North Aceh, Lhokseumawe, Aceh Tamiang, East Aceh, Pidie, Bireuen, Bener Meriah, Central Aceh, Pidie Jaya, as well as the GDP of Aceh Province for provincial level coverage. Meanwhile, in North Sumatra, the total aid distributed reached IDR 7.80 billion. Assistance includes 28,280 ready-to-eat meals, 3,000 children’s meals, 2,000 ready-to-eat side dishes, 2,800 family kits, 2,140 children’s items, 500 adult clothes, 5,300 children’s clothes, 1,464 mattresses, 918 mattresses, 918 roll-up tents, 14 multi-purpose tents, as well as an additional 200 boxes of instant noodles and 400 boxes of mineral water. There are seven points that receive aid, namely Central Tapanuli, Mandailing Natal, Sibolga, North Tapanuli, Langkat, South Tapanuli, and Sentra Bahagia Medan which distributes it to provincial level areas. Meanwhile, the aid in West Sumatra (Sumbar) reached IDR 3.64 billion, covering four places, namely Padang Pariaman, West Pasaman, Pesisir Selatan, as well as the West Sumatra provincial social service for coverage at the provincial level. The assistance consists of 4.4 tons of regular rice, 5,758 ready-to-eat meals, 3,640 children’s meals, 1,180 family kits, 850 children’s items, 1,235 mattresses, 1,225 blankets and 1,230 roll-up tents. In addition, 40 family tents, 10 multi-purpose tents, 10 portable emergency lights and 3 public field kitchen units were also sent. Apart from logistics deliveries, the Ministry of Social Affairs also processes material assistance in kind through public kitchens and independent kitchens worth about IDR 4.5 billion, with a production capacity of about 88,000 packs of food per day spread over 28 points in West Sumatra, North Sumatra and Aceh.
