An online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver with the initials MU was found dead in a prayer room at an outdoor activity equipment store in South Bogor, Bogor City. The victim is believed to have died by suicide. “It happened at the store’s prayer room, but he is not a store employee. So he usually drives an online motorcycle taxi and just hangs out there. He really likes to help guard the store at night, but he is not an employee,” South Bogor Police Chief AKP Sonson Sudarsono said when asked for confirmation, Tuesday (2/12/2025). He said MU was found hanging. “Then members of the South Bogor Police together with Pamapta, the Inafis team came and did identification and crime scene processing. After that we evacuated the victim’s body to the Bogor City Regional Hospital. From the results of the crime scene investigation, it was pure hang,” he said. Sonson said the victim allegedly committed suicide due to family problems and debt.
