Patna News: Every day thousands of people groan due to severe traffic jams, no solution found even after decades – Patna traffic news severe congestion affects thousands daily

Ahmed Raza Hashmi, Patna City. Even after decades, the problem of road congestion is a major issue in the Patna Sahib assembly constituency. Thousands of people from the densely populated area north and south of the main road Ashok Rajpath suffer from the severe traffic jams that occur every day. Business is affected here in dozens of markets. Patients cannot reach the hospital and candidates cannot reach the examination center on time. Even today, people who go to the office and work have to leave home two hours earlier. School children get stuck in traffic and come home in the evening instead of in the afternoon. Fed up with the traffic jam problem, many families migrated from Patna City. In this assembly constituency, the problem of traffic jams has not reduced even after the construction of JP Ganga Path and the road along the banks of Ganga between Gaighat and Didarganj. The situation remains the same as before. The problem is increasing due to the development of many new traffic congestion zones. It takes more than an hour to cover a distance of five minutes. There are many reasons for jam. Local citizen Mohammad Javed said that the traffic system has collapsed in Patna Sahib area. No attempt was ever made to solve the serious traffic jam problem here. Two traffic ADVs operate in the area. Yet traffic rules are not observed anywhere. Bhushan Mali said that in the name of vehicle checking at every intersection, the police is doing recovery only by harassing the people. If police personnel are deployed everywhere and traffic rules are strictly followed, then the problem of traffic jams can be solved. Dharmendra Munna said that the Municipal Corporation is responsible for the jam. Ashok Rajpath in Patna City area has now become due to encroachment. Shops are scattered on the road itself. Vehicles only stop along the road. Same is the condition of Sudarshan road. Gauri Kumari said that in the name of encroachment removal, only the formality of conducting the campaign is being completed by the Municipal Corporation. Within a few hours of the campaign, encroachment spreads on the road as before. Sunita Devi said that there is no footpath in Patna Sahib area for people to walk. People walk on the road under duress. Women suffer the most. Vijay Kumar Singh said that there is now severe traffic jam on the route from Gaighat to NMCH via city court. Through this route, patients face difficulties in reaching the hospital. Ambulances remain stuck on this route every day. Anil Rashmi said that similarly in Alamganj area there is jam on Ashok Rajpath from Tripolia, Patthar Ki Masjid, Sultanganj to Mahendru. There is a problem in taking pregnant women and patients to Tripolia Hospital, PMCH. It is not easy for the people of this area to come to Gaighat and reach the hospital via JP Ganga Path. Alok Sah said that traffic police should be deployed in markets like Paschim Darwaja, Machharhatta, Chowk, Jhauganj, Hajiganj, Mansoorganj, Maroofganj, Malsalami, Purab Darwaja, Dalhatta, Gurhatta, Chowk Shikarpur, Mehdiganj Gumti, Gulzarbagh, etc. continuous campaign along with administrative support, only then the solution to the problem of traffic jam is possible.
