Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Mann Ki Baat has talked about the start of preparations for the winter games of Uttarakhand. After this, there is hope of increased activity regarding National Games arrangements in Auli. It is noteworthy that after the Adoption Committee of Ski and Snowboard India agreed to the Winter Games Association of Uttarakhand to organize the National Ski Competition in Auli, the association sent a letter to the Tourism Department regarding the sports event. However, the date of the Ski National Championship to be held in 2026 depends on the snow with the Tourism Department. But the tourism department and the association must prepare for it in advance. Teams from states across the country are invited to organize the Ski National Games. Tourists from India and overseas also come face to face with the beauty of Chamoli’s Auli and other tourist spots and pilgrimages. Auli is the first choice for skiers. The southern snow slopes of Auli are the first choice for skiers. Nanda Devi slope of Auli is internationally recognized by the Federation of International Skiing for skiing sport. The South Asian Winter Games were successfully organized in the year 2011 on this ski slope. During this time, skiers from India and abroad appreciated the beauty of Auli and the slopes. National Games have been organized in Auli several times since 1979. The 1350 meter Nanda Devi slope also has chair lift and ski lift for the players to go from the center to the starting point. Apart from this, glass houses were built for judges and technical teams. Machine to be repaired: There is also a snow making machine to meet the shortage of snow in Auli. However, this machine still needs to be repaired. It was reported that to meet the shortage of snow, snow guns were installed to dump artificial snow in the ski slopes. Ski slopes at Auli have snow measuring machines available to compact and level the snow as per the sports requirements. Only the tourism department should immediately fix the date according to the weather forecast and start preparations. Along with organizing the National Games, the Adop Committee of Ski and Snow Board India has also ensured to organize the International Games.
