Jakarta – Chairman of Commission IV DPR RI of the Gerindra Party Faction, Siti Hediati Hariyadi or Titiek Soeharto, inspected the evacuation site for flash flood victims in Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh. Titik was accompanied by her son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo or Didit Prabowo. The inspection was carried out on Saturday (29/11/2025). Present at the review were Minister of Defense Shafrie Sjamsoeddin and Minister of the Interior Tito Karnavian. Titiek and Didit Prabowo talked to disaster victims who took shelter in the Meunasah refuge and the Tgk Chik Pante Geulima building, Aceh. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENT Titiek tightly held the hands of residents who asked for help because their houses were swept away by the floodwaters. Titiek tried to strengthen the refugees to be patient to face this ordeal. “Be patient, God willing, we will help,” says Titiek Soeharto in a written statement received on Sunday (30/11). Titiek directly inspected houses flattened to the ground due to flash floods in Pidie Jaya, Aceh. He couldn’t stop his tears when he saw people’s houses flattened to the ground so they had to evacuate. “I am also worried, hopefully everything can be resolved,” he said. Titiek ensures that basic needs are met for displaced residents, especially the distribution of logistics such as food, personal needs and medicine. “We at the DPR RI will continue to monitor the distribution of aid to residents affected by flash floods in Aceh,” he said. Apart from that, Titiek reminded that there should be special assistance for children affected by flash floods, including preparation for trauma healing. “Special attention must also be given to child victims, who deploy trauma healing teams to refugee camps,” he concluded.
