Bogor – A teenager with the initials MA (14) drowned while bathing in Curug Dengdeng Waterfall Pool, Klapanunggal, Bogor, West Java (West Java). The victim is believed to have drowned because he could not swim. “Conditions dangerous to people (KMM), initial victim MA (14). Suspected while swimming in the Dengdeng Klapanunggal waterfall,” said Bogor Regency BPBD, head of emergency and logistics, M, Adam Hamdani, on Sunday (30/11/2025). Adam said the incident occurred when the victim and three friends visited Curug Dengdeng Waterfall on Sunday (31/11) at 11.30 WIB. It is believed that the victim was not a good swimmer and insisted on joining his friends who were bathing under the waterfall. Then the victim was forbidden to swim by his colleagues because his three colleagues knew that the victim could not swim,” said Adam. “However, the victim pushed himself until he finally drowned,” he continued. Joint SAR officers immediately went to the location and searched for victims. After searching and diving, officers found the victim’s body not far from the initial location of the drowning. “The final situation is that the victim was found dead, found in a place still close to the initial place of the drowning.
