Anand, November 26 (IANS). Unity March was organized on Wednesday to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will start this journey. The National Padyatra, organized with a strong message of unity and integrity, from Karamsad to the ‘Statue of Unity’ will pass through Anand, Vadodara and Narmada districts. This journey will emphasize the spirit of national unity by covering a distance of about 150 kilometers. During this National Padayatra, a total of 11 ‘Sardar Gatha Sabhas’ and 10 Gram Sabhas were organized to keep the life values, ideals, principles and his great personality of the creator of united India and iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel alive in the hearts of the people through stories and discourses. This ‘National Padyatra’ organized under the ‘Unity March’ will not only be a reflection of unity and integrity, but five rivers, which are part of the history and cultural heritage of the state, will also witness this historic padyatra. This journey from Karamsad to ‘Statue of Unity’ will pass through the three districts of Anand, Vadodara and Narmada and during this time five sacred and culturally important rivers of Gujarat will witness it. These rivers include Mahi, Vishwamitri, Jambua, Dhadhar and Narmada which are the lifeline of the state (Jivadori). Pedestrians will pass through the banks of these rivers. These folk mothers are the flow of culture, history and life. In such a situation, with the blessings of these five rivers, this National Padyatra will become a symbol of the richness of Indian culture and spread the message of nation building and patriotism. The inauguration ceremony of this National Padyatra was organized on November 26, Wednesday at Shastri Maidan, Vallabh Vidyanagar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be virtually present at the inauguration of the Padyatra. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha will also participate in this national march. Meanwhile, on the occasion of Constitution Day this morning, CM Bhupendra Patel paid floral tributes to the statue of the creator of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, at the Central Vista Garden in Gandhinagar and remembered his contribution to equality, justice and democratic values.
