The father-in-law was seriously injured in the incident due to a family dispute and died six days later in hospital. Gorakh Shukla (65), resident of ward 11, Mahuva village of Purushottampur police station area, who was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital for two days due to head injury, died on Friday. The post-mortem examination of the body was done around 03:30 in the afternoon. Here in GMCH, the deceased’s son Pappu Shukla told that on October 25 at around 01:30 pm. his wife Neeraj Devi, mother-in-law Saroj Devi, resident of Sabeya of Bhangha police station, brother-in-law Dhananjay Pandey came to his house to collect the goods. During this, Neeraj Devi hit my father on the head with the helmet due to which he was injured and died during treatment. He told that he asked me to leave his luggage and take only his luggage. His wife Neeraj Devi, angry at this, started arguing. During the quarrel, brother-in-law Dhananjay Pandey threw him out of the house and started beating him. Father Gorakh Shukla, who came to his rescue, was hit on the head with a helmet by his wife Neeraj Devi. Treatment was done at the local level. But when the condition became serious, he was admitted to the GMCH hospital on October 30 around 10 am. Where doctors did X-ray and CT scan examinations. The investigation report was due on Friday. He then died at 07:44 in the morning. An FIR of dowry harassment was registered in the Purushottampur police station six years ago. Pappu Shukla, son of the deceased, said that he had three children. He told that the papers were prepared according to the court order and he was brought home. During this time his wife Neeraj Devi kept coming and going to her in-laws house.
