Can KPMs fired because of Judol still receive social assistance? This is what the Ministry of Social Affairs said

Jakarta – The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has excluded recipients of social assistance (bansos) for beneficiary families (KPM) who play online gambling (judol). Can KPMs who have been fired then not get social assistance again? Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul said the government will give a second chance to KPMs who were suspended for being involved in the judol. They must report to local town officials. “They can indeed be given one more chance. They reactivate. So they come to the village, local sub-district, or via the SIKS-NG application,” Gus Ipul told journalists after visiting SRMA 33 South Tangerang, Sunday (19/10/2025). SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT Gus Ipul explained that the government is giving a second chance to those who want to convert from judol. Reactivation can be done with conditions. “So that they can confirm reactivation. They will be given one more chance. If they really need what is called social assistance,” Gus Ipul explained, saying that the removal of social assistance recipients because of this judol was President Prabowo’s order. He does not deny that the number of social assistance recipients who play judol is very large. “Meanwhile, many people are currently being removed from social assistance recipients because they have been discovered to be gambling online again. Online gambling, in fact, they are gambling online. However, this is also in the direction of the President,” he said. (yangs/yangs)
