New Delhi, October 18 (IANS). BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana has reacted to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s criticism of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) giving a ticket to former MP Mohammad Shahabuddin’s son Osama in the Bihar Assembly elections. Supporting Shah’s statement, he said that regional parties like RJD and Congress have tarnished the image of Muslims by associating Islam with criminals and illiteracy. Speaking to IANS, he said that these regional parties of Bihar have kept the Muslims backward and marginalized across the country by giving tickets to such people. Their agenda was to disenfranchise Muslims from the mainstream. They threaten and intimidate. I believe that people with a good image should get tickets. Looking at the row over seat distribution in Indi Alliance, he said that there is a lack of discipline there. BJP wants a strong opposition but opposition leaders in their statements link the people of Bihar with beedis and use abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The people of Bihar have decided. They will vote for NDA under the leadership of PM Modi for a developed India. On India’s tough attack on terrorism, he said that it is strong thinking of Prime Minister Modi government to give free hand to our forces. The government has effectively implemented the resolution it took to destroy terrorism. On the issue of Afghanistan withdrawing from the T-20 tri-series with Pakistan and accusing Pakistan of ceasefire violation, MP Khatana said that Pakistan is a country built in the name of Islam, which has caused the most damage in the world. It is very unfortunate that they are also getting into trouble with Afghanistan. After the death of three Afghan cricketers in recent Pakistani airstrikes, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has decided to withdraw from this series. Let us inform you that the nomination process for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections has been completed. Voting will take place in two phases in Bihar. After the vote, the result will be announced on November 14. NDA claims that a government will be formed in Bihar again under the leadership of PM Modi-CM Nitish Kumar.
