Apart from the focus on evacuation and humanitarian services, Korlantas Polri now ensures that it is easy to rearrange important documents. Agus Suryonugroho, Inspector General of Kakorlantas Polri, said that the disaster that struck not only damaged infrastructure but also resulted in the loss of several important documents that the community really needed in the recovery phase. Many residents’ driving licenses (SIM), vehicle registration certificates (STNK) and motor vehicle owner’s books (BPKB) were lost or damaged due to the disaster. The story of residents who saved cats in the middle of the flash floods in West Sumatra
Jakarta – Not only people are victims of flash floods and landslides in West Sumatra (Sumbar). Animals such as cats are also victims of this disaster. As reported by Antara, West Sumatra province (Sumbar) was surrounded by flash floods and landslides on Thursday (27/12), all parties were focused on rescuing and evacuating residents. Salmiati, a resident of Kampung Teleng, Padang Besi Village, Lubuk Kilangan District, Padang City, shows a different side. He was willing to go to every corner of the city just to search and find cats that were also swept away by flash floods and landslides. Scroll TO CONTINUE CONTENTS His concern for this cat began when he was still working as a courier for a shipping company. Salmiati was once delivering a package and passing by a garbage dump, she accidentally saw a cat meowing, as if asking for her help. “At first I didn’t want to save the cat, but after I left, my heart kept telling me to save it,” he said as reported by Antara, Sunday (7/12/2025). Almost all the cats found by Salmiati were sick, injured, and some even had tumors. With great compassion, he saved these poor animals, just like helping people. During the disaster that hit the city of Padang, this mother of two children rescued about 30 cats that were abandoned because they were swept away by the flood. He found the cats along the road, in houses affected by floods and landslides, and even in garbage dumps. He took dozens of orphaned cats to a shelter in Kampung Teleng area, Padang Besi Village, Lubuk Kilangan District. This shelter is quite remote and quite far from the busy city center. The exact location is at the end of a residential complex with a rocky road. In fact, the closest houses to residents of the shelter are about 10 meters away. During her 16 years of evacuating, rescuing and caring for abandoned and discarded street cats, Salmiati never expected more. Salmiati’s only dream is to be able to build a bigger and more suitable cat shelter. This is because shelters cannot currently be said to be representative of keeping these animals. He wants a shelter with a garden, open space, more adequate cat feeding areas and supported health facilities. “That’s all I hope, because it’s about feelings and the mind,” he said. Jagran Jagran Correspondent, South Delhi. The Saras Mela going on in Sunder Nursery is famous at national level but due to lack of proper parking arrangements it is also becoming famous for the problems. As it was a holiday, the movement of people from far and wide began on Sunday morning itself. Remove Advertisement Only Read News Due to the parking being full, the drivers who arrived with their families started to be turned away. Barricades have been put up on the road leading to Sundar Nursery. There was a queue of vehicles to go to Sunder Nursery from Lodhi Road, Lajpat Nagar and Jangpura. It took an hour or so to cover the distance of even half a kilometer. Many families who arrived after hours of hard work had to return without seeing the Saras fair. Wheels of vehicles stopped at Bhogal Chowk. At around 11.30 am, the wheels of vehicles started stopping at Bhogal flyover as soon as they crossed Ashram Chowk. After this, there was a huge traffic jam till in front of the Nizamuddin Police Station. People stuck in traffic could only get out after one to one and a half hours. More or less, the condition was the same on the road coming from Lodhi Road to Sundar Nursery. Here, the traffic on either side of Lodhi Road went out of control and crashed under the Oberoi plane. The surprising thing was that there was no policeman at this square. People stuck in the jam cursed the police administration. Some youths and other people tried to smooth the traffic but no one listened to them. Around 2.30 in the afternoon, the policemen managing the traffic at Neela Gumbad Chowk tried to control the vehicles, but their efforts were foiled when the large parking lot inside the nursery became completely full. All the vehicles started stopping at the main gate of the nursery. When the drivers, who were stuck in the traffic jam for a long time, were stopped by the policemen from entering after reaching the main gate of the nursery, the matter reached the level of quarrel and altercation. People were seen arguing with police vehicles. Many people with their families were so exhausted in the traffic jam that they returned to their homes with red faces. People stuck in the jam said that I came from Kotla town with my wife at 12 noon intending to spend my Sunday holiday only after seeing the Saras fair. It’s been over one and a half hours since we were stuck in this traffic jam. This four hundred meter patch slides into the traffic jam for 10 seconds and then stops for twenty minutes. The blue dome is visible in front of me, but we can’t get there. The police administration must understand their responsibility, when they know that there is a traffic jam situation, then they must inform the public in some way through public platforms, advertisements, radio etc. inform, so that the public does not leave their homes. – Arun, resident of Kotla Mubarakpur. I go to Nizamuddin from the Ashram side. It’s about fifteen minutes and I’m stuck in traffic. Delhi is now recognized as a traffic hub. Delhi Police has no concrete action plan so that the people of Delhi can be saved from traffic jams. Everyone, common people and special people, get stuck in the traffic jam, but if any VVIP comes then the public has to bear the brunt. If there is any fair or event, Delhi Police fails to manage the traffic. – Raju, resident of Hardoi-Uttar Pradesh. Traffic is congested during holidays due to events at memorials, dargahs and beautiful nurseries in Nizamuddin area. Necessary steps will be taken after checking the problems related to smooth transportation. All the jam points will be marked. Wherever necessary, additional traffic personnel will be deployed. Haridwar: Kankhal-Laksar road has become a road of death, five people lose their lives every month; Serious questions raised on administration – haridwar khankhallaksar road a deadly route raising questions on administration

Poor condition of roads and violation of traffic rules … read more. The ever-increasing road accidents are frightening. Symbolic photo: Jagran Correspondent, Haridwar. The statistics of accidents on the Kankhal-Laksar route are constantly frightening. On this road, which runs red with the blood of pedestrians, an average of five people lose their lives every month in road accidents, but concrete steps to improve the situation have not moved beyond paper. Remove ads, just read the news. Recently, after the death of three pedestrians, including two real brothers, within 24 hours, the system definitely took a dig, the opportunity was investigated, concrete steps were considered on paper, after this, the lives of the pedestrians were left to the mercy of God. Dense population on both sides of the road. Schools, hospitals and dense population start on both sides of Kankhal on Laksar road. From Jagjitpur, Ajitpur, Missarpur, Jiyapota to Ferupur, Dhanpura, Dharta, Badshahpur, Sultanpur, there is a roadside village within a radius of every five kilometers. But the width of the route is limited. The problem is that the movement of heavy vehicles on this route is constantly increasing. This is the reason why vehicles related to mining and crushers often turn out to be a disaster for two-wheelers. If we look at the accident statistics, every month at least five people become victims of untimely death in accidents on the Kankhal-Laksar road. The situation worsened due to the death of two real brothers. A week ago, the situation became more dire when two real brothers from Katarpur and a tent businessman from Jwalapur died on the same day. On the instructions of the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police, a joint team of the Department of Police, Administration and Public Works conducted an on-the-spot inspection of Laksar Road and investigated the causes of the accidents. During spot inspection, it was found that along with narrow road, pressure of heavy vehicles, blind turns, illegal cutting, inadequate indicators, lack of street lights and random encroachment remain the main reasons for accidents. During the inspection, various measures were considered, such as banning the movement of heavy vehicles during the day, widening the road on both sides, closing illegal cuts, installing speed breakers and signals. However, the final decision on all these proposals must be taken by the Road Safety Committee headed by the district magistrate. The committee meeting and concrete decision are still awaited. This is the reason why the situation remains the same on the route where thousands of vehicles pass by every day and the danger of a new accident arises every day. People said, when will the danger of accidents stop? Dr Shiv Kumar Chauhan, resident of Misrapur, Sunil Kashyap, resident of Ferrupur, Ilyas Malik of Dhanpura say every time there is a major accident, inspection and meeting is held. After a few days everything is stopped. Despite so many accidents, passengers, school children and two-wheelers take risks on the Laksar route. Despite the increasing number of accidents, it raises questions about the administrative system not starting the improvement work.

After the Delhi blast, the RTA department as well as the police are constantly keeping an eye on the buying and selling of old vehicles in Gurugram. Several police teams jointly held meetings with dealers from different areas and told them to register whatever vehicle they sell in the name of the buyer as soon as possible. If registration is not done, action will be taken against them. Remove Advertisement Only Read News The car in which the explosion took place on the night of November 10 in Delhi was bought and sold several times. It was first bought by Salman, who lives in Shanti Nagar, Gurugram. After this, passing through many buyers, she reached the terrorist. Many times old vehicles are found used in other major incidents including terrorist incidents. The reason for this is that the department does not monitor the buying and selling of old vehicles and criminals also take advantage of ignoring the rules. According to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, the purchase and sale of second-hand vehicles must be under the supervision of RTA. But many times, due to the negligence of RTA and traffic police, old vehicles are sold and bought by ignoring the rules. Old vehicles are bought and sold in many places. There are also many places in Gurugram where old vehicles are bought and sold at junctions. In Gurugram, used vehicle markets are organized at Bus Station, Old Delhi Road, Mehrauli Road, Sector 14, Vyapar Bhawan, Sector 12, Sector 17, Sector 23, Sector 45. There are rules for buying and selling old vehicles. In both situations, the vehicle owner must notify the RTA. According to the rules, the buyer must transfer the vehicle in his own name. For this both the parties have to reach the RTA office and complete the process. Here RTA allows name transfer based on verification of outstanding tax, driving license, registration, ID proof. Responsibility of the seller: It is the responsibility of the seller to transfer the name of the old vehicle. If the vehicle is caught during an accident, theft or any other criminal incident, full responsibility rests with the vehicle owner. Neglect of RTA and traffic police encourages criminal activities. Police Commissioner issued instructions: Gurugram Police has also started to crack down on the buying and selling of old cars in the city. Recently, after the blast in Delhi, Police Commissioner Vikas Arora directed the DCPs of all zones to keep a close watch on the purchase and sale of old vehicles in their respective areas. All police station charges have also been instructed to pay special attention to vehicle transaction activities in their area. The move aims to curb illegal vehicle transactions, criminal activities and misuse of vehicles. The police along with RTA officials are monitoring the buying and selling of old vehicles in the city. Instructions have also been given to speak to used vehicle dealers in this regard. Everyone has been told to take proper care of verification while buying and selling a car. Verification of Aadhaar card of car buyers through M-app is required. – Vikas Arora, Commissioner of Police
Mumbai-Prayagraj Akasa flight diverted to Varanasi for not getting ATC permission, passengers create ruckus at airport – Akasa flight diverted to Varanasi due to ATC delay passengers protest

Ruckus started at Prayagraj airport on Sunday when Akasa Air flight coming from Mumbai was suddenly diverted to Varanasi. The aircraft circled over Prayagraj, reached Varanasi and landed there. Remove Advertisement Read Only News Meanwhile, hundreds of Mumbai-bound passengers were waiting at the airport after pre-checking in. When he realized that his plane had not arrived, he became angry. Akasa Air flight QP-1546 took off from Mumbai at around 1:40 PM and was scheduled to land in Prayagraj at 3:55 PM. Exactly 30 minutes later, the same aircraft was to return to Mumbai with passengers, so the airport staff completed the check-in and security check of all the passengers traveling in Mumbai. Angry passengers demanded answers. Everyone was just waiting for boarding when the news came that the plane was going to Varanasi. The anger of the passengers reached the seventh heaven. Someone was yelling, someone was leaning on the counter demanding answers from the airline people. The noise in the terminal was so much that other passengers also started experiencing problems. The weather was absolutely clear, but why was the flight diverted? The airline’s ground staff had no definitive answer to this question. About an hour later, the airport authority informed that the plane was coming from Varanasi to Prayagraj. After knowing this, the anger of the passengers cooled slightly. The aircraft reached Prayagraj around 6:00 PM and departed for Mumbai at 6:50 PM. This means there was a total delay of more than five hours. Air Force did not give permission. Later it was found out that Prayagraj Airport comes under Indian Air Force and on that day the Air Traffic Control did not give landing permission to Akasa Air. The pilot had to divert to the nearest airport, Varanasi. The matter is related to the Air Force, so the airport administration has also refrained from saying anything openly. However, the second relief news of the day was that no flight was canceled on Sunday. Indigo’s Mumbai flight arrived an hour late but departed. Flights to Delhi, Bangalore and Bhubaneswar were almost on time. During the day, 866 passengers arrived on five flights and 663 passengers departed to different cities. The passengers said that if it had been known in advance that there was a problem because of the Air Force, at least information would have been given. Now, preparations for Maha Kumbh are in full swing in Sangam city, hence such chaos at the airport is proving to be even more troublesome for the passengers.
‘As a result of which my son died, today that marriage…’, father of dr. Piyush, who committed suicide in Agra, talks about his grief.
A sensational incident came to light in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, which shocked everyone in the area. People still can’t believe why a promising doctor committed suicide. The 31-year-old Dr. Piyush was found unconscious at home. He was taken to the hospital, but it was too late. Now Piyush’s father Mahipal Singh has shared his grief. In an interview given to a newspaper, Piyush’s father Mahipal Singh told that the girl for whom his son sacrificed his life is getting married today, on November 25. He clearly said, “My son was killed. This is not a case of suicide. Every day the girl’s family threatens my son and says, ‘Just let our daughter get married, then we will demolish your house with a bulldozer,’ because we have high-level relations.” Mahipal Singh, a retired employee of the electricity department, echoes the same thing: If the police had helped my son in time, he would have been alive today. He received so many threats that he went into depression. Mahipal Singh’s family lives in F Block of Kamla Nagar. They have 9 children: 7 daughters and 2 sons. Piyush was the elder of two brothers. According to his father, Piyush was in a relationship with a girl from Gorakhpur for 3 years. He met her through Snapchat. The girl’s family members threatened her over the phone. Annoyed at this, Piyush took this scary step. On the night of November 22, Piyush wrote a suicide note. In it he wrote the names and phone numbers of the girl’s family. She also wrote: “These people are responsible for my death. Their whole family is threatening me. I have also received threats from their police connections.” Gorakhpur police also got a call. The father said, “Piyush never told me about that girl. But 15 days ago, when he started receiving more threats, he told me about her.” The girl’s relatives threatened her. According to Piyush’s father, the girl’s father and brother used to say over the phone, “So what if you are a doctor? We will not marry our daughter to you. We will throw you and your family on the streets. We will charge you with rape and kidnapping. You will know when you are going to jail. Once you marry your daughter, then we will bulldoze your house away with an A.” Mahipal Singh, who filed a police complaint four days ago, said, “Four days before Piyush’s suicide, he also complained to the in-charge of the Kamala Nagar police station that the girl’s family was harassing him. But no action was taken. My son was so sad that he committed suicide.”
